Trutina Tomato

Smart plant monitoring and diagnostic system for a healthier and wealthier tomato crop

Irrigate better and achieve all these benefits

The right irrigation is crucial for successful tomato growing. Having real-time updates of your plants, Trutina helps you optimize your irrigation strategy and reach the maximum potential of your tomato production:

Fine-tune your irrigation strategy

Measuring various plant activity values (such as water uptake speed, evaporation, and more), you can achieve the most efficient irrigation strategy for your crop.

Have higher and better quality yield

If you irrigate only when your plants need it, you can improve both quality and quantity in yield. Trutina helps you set the right time and amount of watering.

Enhance plant and root health

Monitor water content and EC level more accurately, creating better conditions for healthy root development

Reduce your operational costs

By monitoring real-time drain and irrigation data, you can fine-tune your watering strategy during each cycle—enhancing efficiency and reducing operating costs.

Trutina Scope

The Trutina Data Hub is a reliable and versatile data collection unit designed for greenhouses. It supports multiple sensors to monitor irrigation, drain water, substrate weight, and environmental conditions. With IP68 protection and wired connectivity, it ensures accurate, real-time data to optimize plant growth and simplify greenhouse management.

The biomass module, based on weight cells, continuously measures the plant’s fresh weight to monitor growth dynamics in real time. This provides precise insights into biomass accumulation, helping growers optimize irrigation, climate control, and overall crop management.

This advanced light-sensing instrument measures solar radiation within the greenhouse, providing real-time insights into the energy available for
photosynthesis. By calculating daily joules per square centimeter and current watts per square meter, it helps optimize plant growth conditions.
Growers can continuously monitor sunlight levels to ensure plants receive the precise energy needed for efficient photosynthesis.

A comprehensive air-monitoring sensor designed for greenhouses, Aeroscan continuously measures vapor pressure, air temperature, relative
humidity, and atmospheric pressure. This data provides a complete picture of the greenhouse atmosphere, ensuring ideal environmental
conditions for plant growth and reducing the risk of stress or disease.

This sensor continuously measures changes in the fruit’s diameter, providing accurate insights into crop development. It helps track growth rate, detect stress effects, and evaluate the impact of irrigation and nutrient supply. This allows growers to identify problems early and optimize cultivation.

The stem diameter sensor continuously monitors tiny changes in the plant’s stem thickness throughout the day. These subtle variations reflect shifts in turgor pressure — a key indicator of the plant’s water status. By tracking stem diameter in real time, growers can detect early signs of water deficit or stress before visual symptoms appear. This data adds another physiological layer to the Trutina system, helping fine-tune irrigation decisions and improve overall plant balance and health without invasive methods.

This is a reliable substrate sensor that measures three key parameters: moisture content, electrical conductivity (EC), and temperature. Designed for high-precision monitoring in greenhouse and open-field conditions, it provides essential data on root-zone conditions. By tracking water availability and salt concentration, growers can optimize irrigation and fertigation strategies while avoiding overwatering or salt stress.

Trutina Scope - Trutina Drain Checker

The irrigation tank measures the exact volume of nutrient solution delivered to the plants. It enables precise tracking of input water, allowing Trutina to correlate irrigation events with plant response in real time.

The drain tank collects and monitors the volume of water not absorbed by the plant. This data is essential for calculating water balance and assessing irrigation efficiency.

This standalone sensor measures irrigation and drain water EC, temperature, and nutrient content. It offers growers a comprehensive overview of their water management system, enabling precise nutrient dosing and efficient water use, leading to healthier plants and improved greenhouse efficiency.

The spoons detect both the irrigated and drained water volume.
