The stem diameter sensor continuously monitors tiny changes in the plant’s stem thickness throughout the day. These subtle variations reflect shifts in turgor pressure — a key indicator of the plant’s water status. By tracking stem diameter in real time, growers can detect early signs of water deficit or stress before visual symptoms appear. The spoons detect both the irrigated and drained water volume.
